Here at the Minnesota Wild, we have a passionate group of people that operate the venues under our charge. One of those venues is the capitol city’s convention center – Saint Paul RiverCentre. This event venue is part of our unique event campus and includes the Legendary Roy Wilkins Auditorium and Xcel Energy Center. Our Saint Paul RiverCentre sales team is a group of highly motivated and engaged individuals. We value a positive team culture, strong relationships, remarkable customer service, and a get it done approach to our work. Events on our campus start with the sales team and we love kicking things into motion, often as the first impression of our campus. Our sales team plays a key role in procuring business through prospecting, facility tours, proposal writing and contract negotiations. With our unique campus of different event spaces, we sell all types of events including conventions, tradeshows, galas, meetings, sporting events, concerts, exams, graduations, dance competitions, and more. We are literally selling memories! The majority of our work takes place in Saint Paul RiverCentre and Roy Wilkins Auditorium.

As our Associate Account Executive, YOU WILL:

  • Procure new business and increase revenue for Saint Paul RiverCentre and Roy Wilkins Auditorium. You will prospect potential RiverCentre clients while scheduling and conducting sales calls and site inspections. You will prepare proposals, budget estimates and contracts with close attention to detail and timeliness. You will work closely with a number of other departments such as event management, catering and marketing to provide relevant and timely event information. With your excellent time management and organizational skills, you’ll enhance business relationships with clients by providing an elevated level of service.
  • Serve as a liaison for the Visit Saint Paul sales team. Get ready to be a part of selling Saint Paul and helping to bring major conventions to our capitol city. You will review client RFPs and match requests to our venue while responding appropriately and timely. Along with the Visit Saint Paul sales team, you will conduct site visits and negotiate contracts.
  • Participate in a variety of industry and community events. You enhance the awareness of Saint Paul RiverCentre and broaden sales base. You will actively participate in local service and fraternal organizations and networking experiences. You will also identify and participate in appropriate industry trade shows and events, because building our brand is what you do.


  • People Person. Clients want to do business with people they like. In most instances, you are the first impression our new clients experience and your likeability factor will continue to keep the relationship growing. You build lasting relationships that develop into business, referrals and invaluable experiences. RiverCentre and Roy Wilkins are outstanding venues to sell.
