Job Description

What Success Looks Like In This Job

Provides administrative support and reception functions for the EBT program at Adams County Human Services locations. This position provides exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers, while maintaining EBT program rules designated by local, State, and Federal regulations and applicable laws. This position may work in multiple locations throughout Adams County based on the community’s need, including Human Services locations in Westminster and Aurora, and other locations, as needed.

Examples of Duties for Success

  • Issues Colorado EBT/Quest Cards for various assistance programs, provides client training on card usage, and performs required data entry for the program.
  • Performs a wide variety of complex clerical work including the maintenance of accurate and detailed logs, records, verifying accuracy of information, researching discrepancies, and recording information.
  • Greets and interacts with the public by providing excellence in customer service skills.
  • Efficiently and respectfully resolves EBT concerns by clients using appropriate problem solving and customer service techniques.
  • Provides information and forms to stakeholders, the community, and vendors, and assists in the completion, collection, and processing of that information and forms.
  • Delivers information on departmental and County programs to internal and external stakeholders, along with applicable policies and procedures as required.
  • Maintains the EBT program’s integrity with accurate and precise data entry, distribution of EBT/Quest Cards, and rules and regulations.

Qualifications for Success

  • Processes incoming and outgoing mail and fax correspondences.
  • Maintains supply of forms for office and office supplies.
  • Performs coverage assistance as needed, including coverage for other departments (such as the front desk).
  • Completes Application Initiation (AI) of eligibility cases and schedules interviews for public assistance programs.
  • Assists in data entry of various tasks in HSConnects (workflow management program) and CBMS (Colorado Benefits Management System), as needed.
  • Performs other related duties and responsibilities, as required.

More Qualifications for Success

Experience:

  • Two years of full-time office/clerical experience.
  • Bilingual candidates in Spanish and English are highly preferred.

Education and Training:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
